Overlap: Home, Immigration and Identity

December 2020 – March 2021

Curated by Andrea Guskin, Overlap features the work of three female, immigrant artists of color living in the Bay Area. Overlap is a visual conversation on the immigrant experience, on identities that are multifaceted, and changing, and carry in them places, and history and stories.

The works are on view at the Bayfair Mall in San Leandro, along with a presentation by Andrea Guskin of her project “From Where to Here”. Overlap seeks to showcase the work of under-represented Bay Area communities, and also reimagines a shopping center as a place for art and community gathering.

On view during mall hours.
