SEASAW: Southeast Asian Street Art Workshop
The Southeast Asian Street Art Workshop (SEASAW) is a weekly arts and cultural gathering space for students ages 11-17 from Southeast Asian backgrounds.
This is an intentional space for youth whose lives have been impacted by systemic inequity and the carceral system, where participants can discover the art and culture of murals, graffiti, and street art. With artist Pat Kong, participants will delve into local art history, identity, storytelling, and mural painting, and as a team will collaborate to design and paint a public mural in East Oakland.
