SEASAW
Southeast Asian Street Art Workshops

Join us for an exciting opportunity to create a community mural in Oakland!

The Southeast Asian Street Art Workshops (SEASAW) is a weekly arts and cultural gathering space for students ages 11-17 from Southeast Asian backgrounds. This is an intentional space for youth whose lives have been impacted by systemic inequity and the carceral system, where participants can discover the art and culture of murals, graffiti, and street art. Participants will delve into local art history, identity, storytelling, and mural painting, and as a team will collaborate to design and paint a public mural in East Oakland.

SEASAW is a collaborative project between ARTogether and the Center for Empowering Refugees & Immigrants.

This project is made possible through support from the California Arts Council.
