ARTogether-CERI Summer Art Camp

At the ARTogether-CERI Summer Art Camp, kids can explore their creativity and express their imaginative ideas through art. Camp activities aim to encourage children’s artistic interest and self-discovery while having fun with friends! Activities range from guided creative art projects to educational and holistic art activities to more freeform expressive art. Kids can look forward to fun projects like making dreamcatchers, painting kindness rocks and exploring the styles of famous artists.

The camp primarily serves children from refugee and/or immigrant communities. Kids ages 6 to 16 are welcome to join!

Meet our camp counselors:

Hi everyone, my name is Polina Marso. I am an artist, educator and a project assistant at ARTogether. My path of teaching children art started when I was 18. I believe that doing art is so much more than simply creating beautiful things. It is also meditative, holistic and communal. Art is a language we all speak. I am extremely excited to be a counselor, to connect with the local kids, teach them and learn from them, and create a welcoming, warm environment. Fun fact about me is that I have been to 25 countries and my dream is to travel the world one day. I can’t wait to meet all the campers!
Hello everyone, I’m Hana! I’m an occupational therapy student from Samuel Merritt University. I am excited to be a part of the ARTogether-CERI Kids Camp, and cannot wait to meet all the wonderful campers. I love working with children, and one of the things I enjoy is helping children discover things they are excited and passionate about! I have more than 8 years of experience working with children in various roles. My experience includes being an elementary school teacher, tutor, and special needs behavioral aide. I also love hiking, cooking, crafting and creating art projects in my free time!
Hello, my name is Danielle! I am an occupational therapy student at Samuel Merritt University. As a child, art and craft projects were special to me because they allowed me to learn, be creative, have fun, make friends, and gain confidence. For this reason, I am very happy to be a part of the ARTogether-CERI Kids camp. I love working with children and helping them find new ways to express themselves. I have spent the last 3 years providing occupational therapy-based classes to children of all different ages, cultures, learning styles, and interests. It is amazing to have the opportunity to help children reach their goals and have fun at the same time. I am excited to meet all the campers!
