About ARTogether

ARTogether is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oakland, California. Our mission is to provide arts programs that foster compassionate communities, where refugees and immigrants can flourish.

Our Vision

For refugees and immigrants moving to the United States, the journey has just begun. ARTogether offers programs that reach out to refugees and immigrants, providing welcoming, creative spaces for local refugees and immigrants to connect with their community. We envision a world where there are no barriers—or borders—to art and creative expression, where everyone is welcomed and their stories have impact. Our goal is to build communities and promote long-term prosperity for refugees and immigrants, even after assistance from initial government and NGO resettlement programs has ceased.

Executive Summary

ARTogether has seen exponential growth since 2017 by focusing on establishing impactful relationships with the communities we serve. In 2022, we opened our ARTogether Center in Oakland, where we are deeply committed to fostering a strong support system for refugees and immigrants in the East Bay.

In 2025, cuts to Federal funding have left ARTogether with a sizable revenue gap that requires us to rethink the way we work. Therefore, we are looking for passionate individuals that are committed to bringing a variety of skills, perspectives and backgrounds, as we collaborate to build upon ARTogether’s years of success

While ARTogether has met some headwinds, we have a lot of wonderful assets to build with: relationships, programs, branding, clients, funders, partners, etc. This is an exciting time for visionary leaders to join us.

The board of directors oversees governing, financial and legal decisions, and provides structural and strategic support as ARTogether continues to grow and develop its programs. Participation in fundraising and in giving is expected of all board members annually.
