Gather In Art and Craft Community Night

Join us for our monthly Art and Craft Night, featuring one of our artists-in-residence, Mame Marieme LO

Mame will be hosting a Mixed Media and Solarpunk workshop with us. We’ll start with a short introduction to Solarpunk, an artistic and activist movement that imagines hopeful futures beyond capitalism and colonialism. Together, we’ll explore prompts and conversations before creating our own stories through writing or art. Please arrive before 5 PM for the demo!

ARTogether will provide all necessary materials, along with our usual art supplies, if you’d prefer to play in a different medium. Feel free to bring your own creative project that you’d like to work on while in community.

Gather In: Art and Craft Community Nights are casual, drop-in, creative hangouts that take place every 2nd Wednesday from 4 – 7 PM. Bring your friends to a future event!

Featured Artist: Mame Marieme LO

Mame Marieme LO is a French-Senegalese visual artist and social worker based in the Bay Area. Her mixed-media work explores Blackness, lineage, and resilience through painting, animation, and digital art. Drawing from personal and collective histories, she creates polyform ancestors and reimagines erased narratives. Her practice began as a personal ritual and evolved into a tool for healing and connection. She has exhibited in France, Switzerland, and the U.S., and facilitates community workshops centered on art, care, and resistance. Her work blends traditional techniques with digital archives to transform cycles of trauma into spaces of reflection and strength.

Mame  is one of 8 artists-in-residence participating in our 2025 Mentorship Hub. Learn more about the program here.
