Community Exhibitions at ARTogether

In addition to curating our own themed exhibitions, ARTogether is honored to serve as a venue for community-curated shows. In 2025, we opened applications for immigrant, refugee, and diasporic artists and curators to pitch their dream activations for our gallery space. Exhibitions are scheduled monthly and will extend through Spring 2026.

Khalil Anvar · Unsettlement (March 2025)

Khalil Anvar’s fine art photo exhibition presents his latest body of work exploring the idea of settlement. What does it mean to be settled? How much of a settlement’s narrative could be shaped by where it takes place? What does it mean to be settled or unsettled in these landscapes? And how remarkable it is to witness the way time has made its mark on these lands throughout history, as if all the pieces in every corner have been given enough time to flourish to their full extent without a single interruption. And then, how much of an impact does the “outside world” have on us, unsettling or settling what already is? Through this exhibition, Anvar expresses their experience of going through this Un/Settling life.

Sujata Tibrewala · Mandala Reinvented (April 2025)

Sujata Tibrewala considers the traditional form of the mandala, a visual that represents the universe, and imagines it in a modern context. Mandalas literally means a circle and have existed in traditional art for almost 12000 years, Sri Yantra being one of the earliest examples. It represents the universe and the inner self and its self symmetric designs are pleasing to the eyes. Sujata’s mandalas span modern symbols and watercolor techniques exploring the modern world–from endangered species of the ocean, to the electronic basis of modern society, to the wheel of seasons and nature, to a world simultaneously torn in war and peace, to simple, pleasing patterns in nature. Sujata’s exhibition included a community workshop.
