Somaieh Amini is a painter and illustrator based in San Jose, California. Amini spent her childhood and adolescence in Isfahan, Iran and has a B.A. in painting from the University of Al-Zahra in Tehran.  Between 2001 and 2007, she worked with several animation companies as a Concept, Background, and Layout Artist and as a Matte Painter in several TV series and movies. Eventually she moved to Rome, Italy to obtain an M.A. in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. It was there that she realized her passion for illustration. In 2012, Amini relocated again from Italy to the USA. These relocations have had a great emotional impact on her artistic life. It was not until 2015 that she started her artistic career again with the decision to focus again on painting and illustration.
