ARTogether Community Center Space Reservation 

Our space in Oakland is more than a gallery, it’s a community hub created with care. We welcome partners to use the space for gatherings, workshops, meetings, or quiet work. Whether you’re hosting a cultural event or planning a retreat, we invite you to share this space with us and help it continue to grow as a creative home for many communities. 

 

About the Location: 2000 sq ft, natural light, gallery lighting, ada accessible, bathrooms, 

seating for events (60 chairs) standing 150ppl. 

 

Getting there: Located in Downtown Oakland, on the edge of Oakland’s Vibrant Chinatown at 

12th and Harrison Street. Two blocks off of 12th street BART and AC transit.

Ideal inquiries take place at least 2 weeks in advance to the desired date.

Sliding Scale Donation Recommendations

Any donation we receive helps us ensure our spaces remain affordable to those who have been displaced from or lack access to venues. Your support also helps sustain our free arts and wellness programs for refugees and immigrants. 

If you are unable to donate for use of space at this time, reach out to us to share more information–we’d still love to work with you.

Please note that rental provides access to the space, but does not include staffing. If you are requesting additional support of staff presence onsite, we request an additional fee of $75/hr.

$400 up to 4 hours

$800 up to 8 hours

Additional Donation Amount

For those with relative financial security or institutional support.

Organizations with an annual budget of 1 M or higher

Security Deposit

Please also note that in addition to the consideration of the donation, we request a separate 100% refundable security deposit of $310 by check to reserve the space. This deposit is refunded after your event’s conclusion after the returning of keys and assuming there are no damages. If this poses a hardship or concern, we are happy to discuss this with you.

Food and Drink Policy 

We allow food and drink in the space, as long as everything is clean and garbage is taken out at the end of the event. This space also functions as an art gallery, and we ask that you remind guests to be careful around the art with their food and drink.

Accessibility 

The space is located on the ground level and is wheelchair accessible from the sidewalk and street. There are no steps nor stairs to the front and back entrances. There are two bathrooms located in the parking garage, which is accessible through the back door of the space. There are no steps or stairs to get from the space to either bathroom. Each bathroom has two stalls: one narrow stall, and one wheelchair accessible stall. You will need keys to get into the bathrooms, and you will need to manually pull on the doors to open them. The back door of the gallery shuts automatically, so it’s best to keep it propped open for people to get in after going to the bathroom (or assigning your staff/volunteers to keep watch on the door).

Parking 

Ample metered street parking is available on 12th St. and Harrison St, and the closest parking garage is Harrison Garage located at 278 12th St. Please note that Harrison Garage closes at 7 PM and all cars must exit before that time. Metered street parking is free after 6 PM on weekdays, and free all day on Sundays.

 

The closest BART station is 12th St. Oakland City Center Station, located two blocks away.
