What We Hold

Join us December 12th for ARTogether’s Fundraiser to Sustain Sanctuary.

In times of uncertainty, what do we hold on to? We hold stories. We hold traditions. We hold one another.

At ARTogether, what we hold are the voices, visions, and dreams of immigrant and refugee artists and communities. In our workshops, residencies, and gatherings, art becomes more than expression, it becomes belonging, healing, and resistance.

Unable to join us? You can still support the event and our programs with a donation.

Join us for What We Hold, our annual fundraiser, where we come together to celebrate resilience, share stories of impact, and sustain the vital spaces that immigrant and refugee communities call home.

In 2025, deep cuts to arts and immigrant-service funding reduced our budget by nearly half. This event comes at a crucial moment — your attendance and support will help ensure that immigrant and refugee communities continue to have spaces to create, to connect, and to belong.

Join us for an inspiring night of art, dialogue, and solidarity. Together, we can ensure that what we hold endures.

This year’s fundraiser will feature:

  • Silent Art Auction: Showcasing works by immigrant, refugee, and diasporic artists. Each piece tells a story of resilience and belonging, and proceeds will directly sustain our programs.
  • Live Music & Poetry: Storytelling and performances from immigrant and refugee artists.
  • Art-making Activity: Meet and make art with our artists-in-residence.
  • Delicious drinks and catering by Dastahn: Founded by Shabnam Amini, Dastahn celebrates the rich regional flavors of Iran.
  • A Raffle: Purchase tickets to win donated goods and services from local businesses.
  • Community Connections: Spend a wonderful evening with community members, artists, and cultural leaders.

With your support, ARTogether will continue to:

  • Provide creative workshops for newcomers finding their first community in the Bay Area.
  • Sustain residencies that empower immigrant and refugee artists as cultural leaders.
  • Create spaces of radical care, where every individual can feel at home.

Together, we can hold onto more than survival—we can hold onto futures filled with art, care, and connection.

Reserve your place at What We Hold and help sustain the spaces where immigrant and refugee communities flourish.
