We are a small, values-driven team committed to equity, joy, and the belief that art is a fundamental human right.

Role Purpose

The Youth Program Director will lead ARTogether’s youth-focused programs and school partnerships, developing a coherent, fundable, and impactful youth program portfolio. This is a senior role for someone who brings both program vision and operational follow-through — someone who can build on a strong programmatic foundation while bringing expanded leadership capacity to the team.

● Maintain reporting requirements for grants and program documentation

● Document and communicate program impact for grant reports, newsletters, and org communications

Fundraising Support

● Contribute substantively to grant writing and reporting for youth programs

● Participate in funder site visits and relationship cultivation

● Collaborate with the Co-Executive Directors on program-aligned fundraising strategy

Operations and Logistics

● Outreach and coordination for program participants and community members

● Materials, equipment, and food acquisition, transportation, coordination, and organization

● Invoicing, Contracts, and MOU coordination

● Management of final exhibitions or artistic outcomes of programs

● Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or similarly underserved communities

● Demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff and teaching artists

● Experience with grant reporting or program documentation

● Ability to work some evenings and weekends as programs require

● Commitment to ARTogether’s mission and values around equity, art, and community

● Ability to lift and move heavy objects and supplies

● Experience in facilitation of youth programs, professional development workshops, artistic healing workshops, and community art workshops

Preferred

● Background in visual arts, media arts, or arts education

● Experience with grant writing, not only reporting

● Bilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Dari, or another language spoken in ARTogether’s communities

● Familiarity with Bay Area school systems and community organizations

● Experience in a nonprofit leadership or program director role

Compensation & Benefits
